Our new Pencader Heritage Museum is located at 2029 Sunset Lake Road, in the Cooch Dayett Mills Complex. ( Route 72, just south of old Baltimore Pike )Parking inside the fenced area. Google Map The Pencader Heritage Museum is open to the public on the first and third Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Private Tours by appointment any time. We are creating an educational environment for students, teachers and interested residents to learn about the history and culture of the Pencader Hundred. Our Cooch Room features pictures and memorabilia of the Cooch family, the Dayett Room when complete will house artifacts and information concerning the history of the Dayett Mill and in the Pencader Room are displays of Native American Indian and Revolutionary War artifacts. We are building our inventory to include replica cannons, period clothing, household items and agricultural tools from an earlier era. Our "please touch" area includes parts from a M-48 tank built by the Chrysler Corporation right here in Newark. Other developing exhibits include:
